Domain names

Acquiring one or several domain names allows you to make your site available to the public on the Internet. Through this presence on the Internet, you will be able to reach a larger Client Base. Reserving one or several domain names is therefore essential.

Although reserving a domain name, which works according to the "first come, first served" principle, is easy from a technical perspective, however it can hold a number of setbacks in store if it is done without the proper precautions. From a legal perspective, you should make sure you are not violating the rights of holders of prior rights.

• Monitoring your domain names: we set up a legal watch in order to monitor newly filed domain names which may undermine your prior rights;

• Defence of your rights: we ensure protection of your rights throughout the world, for example by sending a formal notice or by filing a complaint with the Arbitration and mediation centre of the WIPO, or through legal proceedings with the courts against any third party titles violating your rights.

However, reserving a domain name can grant insufficient protection to the mark you have chosen. We recommend completing this protection by filing a trademark in order to be able to initiate an infringement lawsuit, in particular in case of illegal use of this mark.
